USL Live Officially Launches

TAMPA, FL -- United Soccer Leagues (USL) and Turner Broadcasting announced today the launch of USL Live, a new broadband channel that will provide exclusive online streaming of USL First Division (USL-1) matches. The channel, which launched today, can be found at www.USLlive.com and will allow fans to watch matches featuring all 12 USL-1 clubs live and with on-demand replay.

USL Live is the exclusive Internet home of USL-1 games, which until now could only be seen in a limited capacity on traditional broadcast or cable television distribution.

“We are extremely excited about the launch of USL Live and confident that this broadcast program will enable the most widespread exposure of USL soccer and, in particular, USL First Division soccer in the 20-year history of the USL,” said USL executive president and chief operating officer Tim Holt.

USL Live will provide soccer fans with the best seat in the house for watching exclusive coverage of more than 150 USL-1 regular season matches and playoff action during the 2007 season.

The first live match, which will feature the Rochester Raging Rhinos vs. the Puerto Rico Islanders, will be broadcast on the site Friday, April 13at 8 p.m. ET.

The site will also offer exclusive steaming of USL press conferences and other special content.

Fans logging on to the site can watch matches live or on-demand via three subscription options, including:
• VIP Annual Pass: $49.99/12 months (limited time offer available only until May 1
• All Event Pass: $9.99/month (unlimited monthly access to live and on-demand matches)
• Single Event Pass: $3.99/match

USL Live utilizes Turner Broadcasting’s expertise in operating and managing new media businesses for sports properties, including NASCAR.com, PGATOUR.com, PGA.com and ACCSelect.com, a partnership among the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Raycom Sports, Lincoln Financial Sports and Turner with broadcasts of more than 600 of the conference’s non-televised sports events each academic year.
